- Business Focus: Tideview Terrace opened its doors in December 1973 to 50 residents. In 1982, the facility was expanded by 29 beds. In February 1996 renovations were completed to the third floor of the Digby General Hospital to convert it to a 10-bed special care unit for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia. Our present capacity is 89 beds plus one bed for respite. In August 2011, we moved to a state of the art new home boasting 9-bed resident houses, beautiful gardens, gazebo, and access to the beach.
